Birthcare is central Auckland’s primary birthing facility with 3 birthing suites and 45 postnatal beds. This is a pleasant environment in which professionals can provide “the very best start in life” for mothers and their babies.
Birthcare Auckland employs Midwives and Registered Nurses with experience in all aspects of maternity. The Birthcare philosophy has a strong focus on natural birth/primary birth and successful breastfeeding. We also provide low level secondary postnatal care to mothers and their babies. We are seeking midwives and registered nurses who are experienced in all aspects of the midwifery scope of practice to join our team.
You must be registered with the Midwifery or Nursing Council of NZ, hold a current annual practicing certificate and enjoy providing primary maternity care. The position offers interesting, challenging and professionally rewarding practice in a very supportive team environment. We also offer an excellent in-house education program to support best practice.
Morning (0645 hrs – 1515hrs/ 0645hrs – 1915hrs)
Afternoon (1445hrs – 1915hrs/1445hrs – 2315hrs)
Night (2245hrs – 0715hrs/1845 – 0715hrs)
There is flexibility with rostered shifts, weekends included.
We are looking for permanent and casual Midwives and are offering full time and part time positions.
